The Honeywell Tuxedo Touch WIFI is a talking, color, graphic touchscreen alarm keypad with integrated WiFi capability. The Tuxedo Touch WIFI is an extremely unique Honeywell alarm keypad because it can actually be used as a standalone home automation system without needing to be connected to a Honeywell security system. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Honeywell alarm keypad if it couldn’t also be used to control your home security system.

As a home automation system, the Tuxedo Touch WIFI’s built-in Z-Wave controller supports up to (232) Z-Wave modules. You can use your Tuxedo Touch WIFI with virtually any Z-Wave enabled thermostat, lock, light or window shade. The intuitive touchscreen display provides full home automation control from one central location. You can even program customized Z-Wave scenes to occur at scheduled times or whenever you activate them. For instance, you can have your front door unlock for your housekeeper every Monday at 10:00 AM or have your shades close everyday at noon to cut down on your home’s energy costs. You can even have multiple Z-Wave devices activate at the same time with a preset scene. Your bedtime scene may close all your shades, turn off your home’s lights and set your thermostat to a certain temperature. With the Tuxedo Touch WIFI, you have complete control of your home

The Honeywell Tuxedo Touch WIFI home automation features can be used by themselves or in addition to the available home security features. If you connect your Tuxedo Touch WIFI to the ECP terminals of your Honeywell home security system, you can use the touchscreen display to arm or disarm your security system. The large icons are user friendly and the prompts and graphics are easy to read as they guide you through the different ways to control your home security system. The alarm keypad will even announce in English whenever an alarm has occurred so that you always know what is happening. The Tuxedo Touch WIFI display is 7” with a resolution of 800 x 480 to display system status on the bright, crystal clear screen.

The Tuxeo Touch WIFI also has a built-in web server which allows you to control both your home automation and your home security system from the touchscreen or from any web enabled device. The Tuxedo Touch WIFI is can be paired wirelessly to your home WIFI networkor you can wire an Ethernet cable from your router to the Tuxedo Touch WIFI alarm keypad. Once you have your Tuxedo Touch connected to your home network, you can use any computer, internet TV or iPhone, iPad, Blackberry or Android device within your home to access and control the Tuxedo as if you were right at the keypad. If you have AlarmNet IP video surveillance cameras paired to your home's IP network, you will even be able to view them from your Tuxedo Touch WIFI (or from any of the other internet enabled controllers by accessing the Tuxedo from the web). The Tuxedo Touch WIFI brings together all of your home technology with an easy to use, streamlined device.

If you have your Tuxedo Touch WIFI connected to your Honeywell home security system, and you are signed up for AlarmNet’s advanced Total Connect 2.0 interactive service, you will be able to receive instant email and/or text message notifications whenever something important happens in your home. Additionally, with the Remote Home Automation monitoring feature, the Tuxedo Touch WIFI will allow you to control your Z-Wave devices from your Total Connect 2.0 account, similar to the self-contained LYNX Touch systems. However, please note that the Tuxedo Touch is not an alarm communicator. Therefore, your Honeywell VISTA alarm control panel will also need an internet or cellular alarm communicator, in addition to the Tuxedo, if you want monitoring service.
