Using a newly developed MOS sensor, the Panasonic WV-SP508 Full HD Network Box Style Security Camera provides high quality full HD images across multiple H.264 and JPEG streams. Using MEGA Super Dynamic technology to deliver 128x dynamic range, the day/night image quality of the SP508 is ideal in all conditions. The indoor network camera is part of a series of 1080p full HD network cameras that deliver full HD and 360p images simultaneously. Panasonic's newest generation LSI processor provides simultaneous cropping of whole and part images, lower bandwidth storage requirements, more VIQS zones, dual H.264 streaming capability and overall higher-level functionality.

VIQS variable image quality on specified area is the latest innovation to the Smart HD range, allowing the camera to have higher resolution only on specified areas of the image, meaning lower bandwidth. The Panasonic WV-SP508 Full HD Network Box Style Security Camera facial detection system also senses faces in the image, triggering events such as recording or adjustment of the exposure, so that facial details are well-defined.
