The Axis P5522-E Outdoor IP Security Camera is a versatile outdoor option to suit the needs of many security camera hunters. It enables users at a remote location to pan 360° for overview surveillance, tilt 180° and zoom in 18x with autofocus for detailed views. The Advanced Gatekeeper functionality enables the camera to automatically move to a preset position when motion is detected in a pre-defined area. High video quality is maintained even in low light conditions, thanks to the camera's day/night functionality. Support for wide dynamic range enables objects in both dark and light areas of a scene to be visible. AXIS P5522-E supports H.264 and Motion JPEG streams at full frame rate in all resolutions up to D1 (720x480 in 60 Hz, 720x576 in 50 Hz).

Intelligent video capabilities include video motion detection, audio detection, and active tampering alarm. The unit supports an open API (Application Programming Interface) for software integration, including the ONVIF specification for interoperability between network video products. With its Power over Ethernet (PoE) port, this device receives power and video/audio and PTZ controls via a PoE midspan, making it easier to install it most anywhere and not only near a power supply. With the IP66 housing and Neva 4X rated, the device is protected against dust, rain, snow, ice, and corrosion and no additional enclosures are required. The Axis P5522-E Outdoor IP Security Camera can operate in adverse temperatures ranging from -4 to 122°F.
